DON'T mention the war!

In Holland, there was a big debate whether to broadcast this or not. Jokes about WW2 are 'not done' in Holland. This series was the first that showed swastikas on Dutch television, hence it caused major upset. It was however, a very big hit with viewers so the anti-people soon evaporated.

You know what I look like, and even though I'm not German, guess what they call me ? ;) I never have any problems choosing who to go as at fancy-dress parties.

Helga !!!

Helga! Mad laughter! At least you guys discussed it. It is so bloody funny and people don't realise how important it is to be able to laugh about stereotypes.

The gay German officer and his little tank who's in love with Rene is priceless. Also the guy who never says 'Heil Hitler' but simply abbreviates with "lah" ...

Von Smallhausen, General Von Klinkerhoffen. The Italian "wadda missteka to meka" captain. Not to mention "goodmeuning". Never broadcast in Germany? You have absolutely no sense of humor ;)

Can't stop laughing! You are so right....

No sense of huomour? I beg your pardon.
We have Anke Engelke! We have Stefan Raab! We have... oh f00k, I think I'm gonna drown myself.

Not to mention all these famous Dutch comedians ;)
I'll beat you to the water :)

Dutch comedians???? You're having a laugh mate. Rudi Carell you mean?

Exactly Konstantin, that's why if Maxx is going to drown himself, I'll beat him to it ;)

We didn't like Rudi Carell in Holland, that's why we exported him to Germany.

I know Arno, : )
Well thanks very much for exporting anyway, sigh ... How about asking BEFORE exporting???

Revenge for the Germans stealing our bikes in WW2 :)

And here I was thinking Arno was talking about Johan Cruyff.
