Na toll, und noch SIEBEN Tage bis zu meinem naechsten Gehaltsscheck. Und der braucht dann nochmal vier bis fuenf Tage, bis er gutgeschrieben wird. Und in diesen vier bis fuenf Tagen spielt irgendjemand mit meinem Geld rum. Ich weiss nicht wers ist, aber ICH bins nicht. Seufz.

Organic/Biologische Lebensmittel sind hier leider sehr teuer.
Das gleiche trifft auf alles 'continentale' zu, wie z.B. deutsche Salami oder holländischer Gouda. Klar, die mag man nicht missen als Zugereister...
Wenn Du auf Bio und Europäische Lebensmittel verzichten könntest, würdest Du sehr viel Geld sparen können... Und versuche Obst und Gemüse am Markt zu kaufen, dort ist es viel billiger als im Supermarkt, wo ja alles noch x-mal verpackt ist.

Aldi, wuerde ich ja gern. Leider ist North West London zu posh dafuer. Und ohne Gouda oder Salami gehts nich. Schlussaus.

Hey Konstantin: NW London is not too posh for Aldi - well - not in NW9 anyway. We have an Aldi on our high street - and although it carries lots of cheap stuff (which incidentally looks remarkably like other branded stuff) - the most amazing thing about Aldi is the chiller cabinets carry german sausages, meatballs, cured meats cheeses etc. I always get meatballs from Aldi - perfect with Pasta!
By the way - a tip for you: I noticed on your checkout receipt you got Tilda Basmati rice for £4.98 - well trust me I am a rice expert: I am guessing that the bag of rice you bought was 5 Kg(or less)? You should find out where you can get hold of a brand of rice called "Akash" basmati rice - it is virtually identical to Tilda - and costs 4.99 for 10Kg. Chances are that if you find somewhere that stocks Akash - they will also prob have other stuff that you have on your receipt cheaper too!

Cheers Jag. I know that Aldi on Kingsbury Road. Unfortunately it's too far from where we live. And thanks for the tip. Tilda was the only one left in the store at that day. Faar too expensive. I'll give Akash a try.

Für alle es gibt auch Lidl wo man eigentlich einige deutsche Lebensmittel einkaufen kann!
Ich lebe seit 2 Jahren in London und bin echt froh dass es Lidl gibt. Bisher konnte ich noch Aldi nicht finden aber gescheites Essen bekommt trotzdem hier!
