In 700 Jahren.

Dear Sir,
With great distress and anger I had to read your log regarding the phrase 'Ballerei'. Do you really think we are that barbarian that we would use things like guns to kill off foxes ?
We think is far more sporting to let the dogs dot it. They catch the fox and tear it to pieces whilst it's still alive. Saves bullits and the environment. After that we keep the tail and stick it on our Land Rovers.
I would like to strongly urge you not to associate us with 'Ballerei' and remove this insulting phrase from your log.

Dear Lt. Col. Smith Smythe Minispace,
I acknowledge receipt of you comment to my article “Fuchsteufelswild” dated 19th November 2004. I very much appreciate the fact that you, for the sake of the environment instead of shooting foxes prefer to let the dogs chop them into pieces. Fair point, Sir! I fully understand your intentions which are, I am convinced, based on fair play and sportsmanship.
I must however insist on pointing out the fact that you are actually hunting. Quite right, the expression “Ballerei” refers to shooting. However, the word also refers to rather brainless activities of rather brainless people and I therefore chose to use it within my article. I trust that this explanation is satisfactory and I apologise for any inconvenience.
Kind regards
Yours sincerely
The Right Honourable Webmaster
